Telugu superstar Jr NTR’s latest film, Devara: Part 1, has dominated the box office, earning an impressive Rs 300 crore globally within just three days of its release.
Directed by Koratala Siva, the film, with its action-packed storyline, has captivated audiences, making it one of the biggest Telugu hits in recent years. Despite receiving mixed reviews, its stunning visuals and thrilling action sequences have kept the momentum going in theaters.
Record-Breaking Collection
The production house, Yuvasudha Arts, revealed that Devara: Part 1 collected an astounding Rs 304 crore worldwide over its opening weekend.
This incredible success places it among the top-grossing Telugu films, showcasing Jr NTR’s star power. On the fourth day, September 30, the movie still earned Rs 12.5 crore in India, even as collections slowed on Monday.
Strong Regional Contributions
The Telugu version was a significant contributor, bringing in Rs 8 crore of the Monday earnings, while the Hindi version followed with Rs 4 crore. Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions also contributed, although their collections were lower.
Jr NTR’s Dual Role Impresses
A major draw of Devara: Part 1 is Jr NTR’s portrayal of both father and son, Devara and Varada. His intense performances have been widely praised, enhancing the film’s emotional depth. The film’s plot is set in coastal lands, where Devara is forced into exile to protect his people, adding layers to the story beyond just action.
