Devara Box Office Collection Day 9: Jr NTR’s Devara continues its strong performance

The long-awaited action-packed movie of Jr. NTR Devara has overwhelmed the Indian box office. It is coming with much fanfare and seems to be doing one hell of a job so far, proving one of the most commercially successful releases of the year.

Box Office Success Continues

With Devara, one has nearly witnessed the main film peg its tent for a second weekend. Including competition from other Bollywood productions and Hollywood’s Joker: Folie à Deux, the movie has held its own at the box office.

According to Sacnilk, on the ninth day, the film managed to collect an impressive Rs 8.75 crore, taking its net collection in India to a whopping Rs 230.35 crore. It is clear that it has gained significant popularity amongst audiences in the state of Telangana and also in Hindi.

Regional Stronghold of Devara

Versions in Telugu and Hindi form an essential base for the box office success of the film. Preliminary reports state that on the ninth day, the Telugu version amassed Rs 5.45 crore while the Hindi counterpart garnered Rs 3 crore. Performances across territories have also been par for the course where Sat’s average occupation stands at 29.51 percent in Telugu-speaking belts while at 14.03 percent in Hindi belts.

This steadiness has gone well with the mass appeal for Devara, so it’s a blockbuster hit in all senses in both regional and national markets.

Overtaking the Success of Hanu Man

Devara, by its performance, maintains its position and overtakes other hits, which even emerged as surprise hits of the year, such as Teja Sajja’s Hanu Man. Whereas a collection of Rs 227.5 crore was HanuMan’s total collection, Devara has already passed that mark and ensured itself as one of the fans’ favorites.

Challenge from Future Competition

While the film had a fabulous second week, some competition will be seen with the arrival of Bollywood films like Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. Still, Devara had, through word-of-mouth and positive reviews, already exhibited the potential to survive amidst all competition.

With a power-packed narrative, sizzling action sequences, and performances for which Jr. NTR will be remembered for a long time, Devara is still enjoying the Indian box office. The film has yet to show signs of wear and tear as it continues to cross more majors at the box office.
