Unfortunately after a dull beginning, Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein has been leading the way over John Abraham’s Vedaa in at least last few days. However, the two films will face some tough competition from Stree 2.
After one week, the total Indian box office collection amounted Rs 18.29 crores with ₹1.04 crore on its seventh day at box office for Khel Khel Mein. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, even a star-studded film this seems to have a salvo of movies blowing hot and cold at the box office.
Low Occupancy and Limited Showings
the other hand, Khel Khel Mein saw a marginal improvement in occupancy on Day 6 as audience visits grew by only 0.3 percent versus Tuesday The overall occupancy of the movie was only 18.73 percent but night shows were better which had an average of around to 28.22 %. Delhi-NCR had more showings, Mumbai saw higher occupancy but this can be counted as regional factors too.
Akshay Kumar’s Ongoing Box Office Struggles
Akshay Kumar has had a long list of box office failures in the past few years. His latest release, Sarfira flopped miserably and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was a bigger disappointment than ever.
The juices of Mission Raniganj and Selfiee fell flat in 2023 too, while OMG 2 was received decently but Akshay only had an extended cameo role. The only time Akshay’s box office draw has come under question is post the pandemic, when he delivered over half-a-dozen flops.
Can Khel Khel Mein Recover?
Despite the star power of Akshay Kumar and relevant genre, Khel Khel Mein has underperformed till now.Only time will tell as to what fate has in store for the film but will it be able to perform any different when it comes out tomorrow?
