Akshay Kumar’s first look from Vishnu Manchu’s Kannappa

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is all set to step into the Telugu film industry in Vishnu Manchu’s highly-anticipated fantasy drama Kannappa. The movie also stars an ensemble cast comprised of Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Nayanthara; more fuel to the excitement amongst fans.

On Akshay Kumar’s birthday, Vishnu Manchu revealed the first look of the actor in Kannappa on social media. Well, it became the talk of the town immediately. In the poster, Akshay’s hand is dressed as Lord Shiva’s, creating a lot of curiosity among fans.

The poster has an influential caption reflecting the divine and humble nature of Lord Shiva: “Though Lord Shiva reigns supreme power over all realms, he humbly surrenders to the devotion of his followers.”Trade analyst Ramesh Bala also confirmed the development and said, “This is a big addition to the ensemble cast of this pan-India project.”

Akshay Kumar’s Telugu Film Journey

Though Kannappa is Akshay’s official entry into Telugu, this isn’t his maiden film in any other language, barring Hindi. He had done the bilingual film Ashaant in 1993. But Kannappa is a more pronounced foray into Telugu filmdom for the Bollywood superstar.

Akshay’s Next: ‘Bhooth Bangla’

Apart from Kannappa, on his birthday, Akshay Kumar shared the first look of Bhooth Bangla, his upcoming horror-comedy. The intriguing poster showed Akshay with a black cat perched upon his shoulder, sipping milk.

This gives away the eerie theme concerning black magic in the movie. While not much about the movie is known, it is said to have three heroines and is further teasing its plot.
